[36] Local Government Office

The Local Government Office, called Gwan-ah in Korean, is today’s government office where administration work was executed by managers. The Local Government Office was placed in each district, county, and prefecture of the Joseon Dynasty Local Administration.

Along with a governor, county chief, mayor, and other head who are the leaders of the government office, made up the local administration. The Local Government Office here reenacted the local government office of the Yonggu-hyeon, an old name of Yongin City. When entering the Inner Three-Passage Gate with Naehaengrangn after passing the Oesammun protected by soldiers, there is a big building in the front.
