[45] Dolmens

Dolmens are representative burial structures from the prehistoric era, with three main types found in Korea: the northern style, southern style, and Kaeseok style.

- The northern style is characterized by large stones standing upright like a table.
- The southern style resembles a board game layout, with small supporting stones between the cover stone and the base.
- The Kaeseok style is a development of the first two, seen across the country, where the supporting stones are minimized, and the cover stones are placed directly on the ground.
The dolmens displayed here have been relocated from areas such as Jeollanam-do and Jeollabuk-do for exhibition.
